Christ the King Meeting 2026 will take place in the historic Hohenfurth Abbey in South Bohemia. The impressive monastery complex offers the ideal setting for prayer, community and spiritual experiences.

Option 1: Country football tournament for men (location to be announced)
Option 2: Departure to Linz with own cars

Departure of the footballers to Linz if necessary

Candlelight procession from the Holy Trinity Column to St Mary's Cathedral with brass band

CALL FOR CREATIVITY

Participation in CKT 2026 requires the submission of a creative contribution to our research question.

Research question

Living tradition authentically in today's world -
in modern world society and in my own life?

Possible aspects for in-depth discussion:

 

  • What does „tradition“ mean; what can we understand by a „modern society“ today?
  • Which developments characterise the modern world? Which are to be welcomed; which are questionable?
  • How do you recognise the need for traditional faith in today's world?
  • Which aspects of tradition are particularly attractive; which are viewed critically?

Possible aspects for in-depth discussion:

 

  • What modern developments must tradition be able to respond to / find new answers to?
  • What are the implications of tradition for our own lifestyle in the modern world?
  • What does tradition mean for the development of society; what does it have to give/contribute?

Think creatively about this question and choose one of the following formats for your contribution.

You can work alone or in teams of up to 3 people.

Video & Short

Shoot a short, inspiring video, a short etc. that picks up the GenZ.

Please limit to 1 min.

Essay & film script

Research question in a Essay or a script for a longer video worked out.

It should be a minimum of 800 and a maximum of 2000 words.

Poster & Artwork

Research question presented in poster format: artistic, photographic, creative, factual, informative.

Or: Something a painted, crafted or carved work on the research question.

You can also film, scan or photograph the result.

Project & Tech & Innovation

Projects, technology and innovation in the service of the eternal. Present a concrete project or idea that aligns innovation with the transcendent. You are free to choose the format. It can also be something practical, such as a concept for a meeting or a charitable or non-profit (apostolate) action.

For the Christ the King Meeting 2026 A special dress code is in place for this event, which emphasises the dignity and solemnity of the event.

It contributes to the solemn atmosphere of the meeting and shows our respect for the sacred liturgy.

The registration

📅 Registration deadline: 15 September 2026

Participation fee for the entire weekend

Price 75€

The surplus is channelled into the Maria Schnee church building

Included in the price:

- 2 overnight stays (Friday & Saturday)
The majority are not accommodated in a hall, but in shared rooms with shower and WC
5 meals (except Saturday dinner)
- All liturgical celebrations
- Lectures and workshops
-music evening with dancing

Registration conditions:

1st Call for Creativity:

Submission of a contribution (essay, video, poster or tech project) on the research question, stating all project participants.

 2. payment:

Online transfer for yourself or all project participants of the Call for Creativity (i.e. 75,- 150,- or 225,- Euro). Please make a total transfer as project manager and upload a screenshot of the confirmation in the form!

3. confirmation:

Only after receipt and individual examination of both requirements you will receive a registration confirmation
